Enrolling or updating your benefit elections for 2026

Many of your 2025 elections will roll over to 2026; however, you must act if you want to make any of the following updates for 2026:

    • Contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA) or any Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

    • Update coverage elections to add/remove dependents. Your 2025 spousal surcharge will roll over.

    • Confirm your tobacco use. Your 2025 tobacco use response will roll over.

    • Consider changes to supplemental life insurance coverage: You can increase your coverage by 1x your annual base salary (up to $300,000) without providing information about your health.

    • Update your beneficiaries.

2026 open enrollment is your chance to review the new plan options and make changes to your coverage. Follow the instructions under the Take Action section of the 2026 benefits column below.

NOTE: If you are a Mountaineer living in Hawaii and are hired after October 23, 2025, your medical provider will change from Aetna to Kaiser effective January 1, 2026.
