Choose benefits that are right for you and your family! You may include dependants in your coverage if they meet certain requirements. Review the details below so you can decide whom to cover and how to enrol.
Are You a New Hire? Most of your benefits take effect 30 days from your hire date, but this varies based on the amount of time you’ve been with Iron Mountain. Check out the Benefits overview to see when your benefits become effective.

Benefits eligibility
The benefits coverage you’re eligible for depends on whether you’re full-time or part-time. You may enroll dependants but they must meet certain requirements. Learn the details so you can decide who to cover.

You
If you’re a permanent part-time or full-time Mountaineer scheduled to work 21 hours or more per week.
If you’re a bargaining unit Mountaineer, you’ll follow the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding any benefits-related programs. (You can contact your union representative for more information.)

Spouse/Partner
Your legal spouse or partner (same- or opposite-sex) is eligible. Your spouse is the person you’re legally married to; your partner is any other formal union recognized by law as the person who you’ve been cohabitating with in a common-law relationship for at least one year. Only one partner may be covered at a time.

Children
Your unmarried children who are:
Under age 21 and rely solely on you for financial support..
Between the ages of 21–26, if they’re full-time university students.
Adopted children, stepchildren or foster children who live with you, and your partner’s children who live with you. (Grandchildren aren’t eligible.)
At any age, if they’re primarily supported by you and incapable of self-sustaining employment due to mental or physical handicap or disability. (Disability has to occur prior to age 26.)
